When our professional counselors talk with pastors and other church leaders, our respect for these dedicated people deepens. They never know what challenges each day will bring, but they respond to each with professionalism, care, and compassion. Often, they’re forced to deal with issues that are volatile or were never taught in the seminary.
That’s why we host a series of church roundtables. These free sessions bring together a group of church leaders to learn more about tough topics, share their experiences, and offer insights about how they’ve responded.
These are serious conversations about difficult issues and how churches can respond while staying true to their core beliefs. In September, we’ll talk about suicide prevention and intervention, and in November, we’ll look at three important topics: churches and LGBT individuals, cutting and other forms of self-harm, and how technology is affecting teens.
